Just saw a very fast rise in signal strength of DCF39. About 25 db in 20 minuets. Steve's plot shows this fast rise also. http://www.w4dex.com/plot/dcf39/dcf39.gif http://www.w3eee.com Dex
Markus, I noticed that myself and wondered about the possibility all day yesterday. The timing is just right. But after looking at the text data time stamp I now believe that spike may be due to exit
Looks like quite a bit of lightning activity off the back of my rx loop. That is better than lightning ON you loop! I lost my loop amplifier to a close strike a few days ago. I suspect the 500 feet
Only CT1DRP was identifiable in NC overnight. Brian's signal was best from 0600 to 0700. After seeing John's captures I can see a trace of MØBNU just below MP. The DCF39 plot is a good indicator of m
Best overnight capture of the trio in NC: http://www.w4dex.com/argo/11mar03/137khz00003.jpg John's capture shows the three signals to be a lot closer in strength than what I saw. CT1DRP was much stro
MP was slightly above the QRN but only a trace of DRP here in NC. Dex Beautiful signals overnight from G3AQC and CT1DRP in DFCW, and VE3OT's "MP" in QRSS mode. A shot from 0645: http://webpages.chart
Since DCF39 can't get above the QRN here I don't expect anyone else will. http://www.w4dex.com/plot/dcf39/dcf39.gif But I am watching. Dex, W4DEX I will be monitoring 137.772 - 137.775 tonight, start
I sure wish the permit for 73 kHz had expired during the winter. It would have been nice for us NA receiving stations to have had a chance of copying all this activity. This band is the main reason I
This happened about 50 years ago, although I do not remember the precise year. John I still have the oscillator section of my first LF xmitter. It's an International Crystal OX-1 board with a 189 kc
Right on Mal! I know there is little excitement in doing the same thing over and over. Well except for some things. My reason for providing the monitoring page is to stimulate activity on both sides
After stating that our local network should be back to normal I was told there will be more down time today. So if you can't get to the pages please try again later. Dex
CT1DRP was again coming into NC last night. QRN was moderate. Brian's signal was first detected at 0000 UT and last seen at 0600 UT. Best signal was at about 0340 UT. Capture posted at: http://w4dex.
Brian's 135.923 kHz signal was identifiable in NC starting about 2330Z. There was a peak around 0350 and the signal was last seen close to 0500Z. QRN was moderate here during the entire period. Best
Signal was visible from about 0900 to 1200Z but not as good as previous night. At 1100Z I has hearing moderate QRN so I suspect the copy was down due to noise instead or propagation. Dex, W4DEX North
Many of us LF chaps here in NA are suffering withdrawals from lack of T/A signals. In hopes of encouraging some activity I have set up a page that presently shows the 135.919 to 135.925 kHz window. I
Sorry about the call sign error on the subject line. Thought maybe I should resend so the call would show up when an archive search is made. ZL6QH was first seen about 0900 utc and was visible for ab
