Dear Kumar, it is a sad history.. it is a long time that here in EU (but I guess also elsewhere) we are dealing with incredible low prices of chinese products... sometime I read on e-bay or similar platforms goods offered to a price, included freight, lower of the shipping price alone (from Italy). Some items are good or at least good enough for the purpose others lack for some feature.. It is an hard world! :-D By the way concerning ferrites and iron dust cores properties will suggest to download a software called "mini ring core calculator" just google these four words and you get plenty of possible download. The software provide calculation of inductance for cores made from Amidon, TDK and Ferrox. The other longer way is to download catalogues or data sheets from the producers or from the web pages of sellers like digikey, mouser etc. P.S. please do not use ferrite cores for the base loading coil of your (ex) top band vertical!! wind a large huge coil on suitable cores like pvc draining pipes. Don't worry with 14m vertical and some top load the coil is not so big :-) - after all this will a training for 137 kHz winding, and if you will follow Stefan... for larger and larger loading coils for VLF!
