Paul reported: “I think the transmission must have stopped. Perhaps sometime around 12:00 UT yesterday (21st).

Jay reported: Carrier disappears… during daylight files…  (approximately at) file start time… (between) 0621 - 0821

Jay, do your “0621” and “0821” refer to 11:21 UT and 13:21 UT on the 21st?

Hoping to extract Ward’s signal and guessing that integrating from 01:30 UT (21st) to 11:00 UT (21st) would be best. Does this sound right?

Integrated 30 minutes of 8270 Hz data from Georgia and Alaska receivers; based on Jay’s report 30 minutes was much too short; guessing 8 hours or more would have been more appropriate. Will try longer integration times tomorrow.

Any recommendations on a stacking method?

Also processing 0130 Feb 21 UT and later data from a Florida receiver.

How long will steady carrier continue? Ward mentioned a second day of transmission, but if that is not a full second day, or if steady carrier changes to EbNaut, knowing Feb 21/22 steady-carrier start-stop time would be helpful.

Jay,

Thanks for the report. After the shaky start a week or so ago, things seem to be working OK now. Fun stuff!

I'm already set up for EbNaut tx, but will probably test with a carrier just a little longer.

Ward

It appears that your carrier was easily received in CT last night. Using the same file as Stefan's transmission your carrier (*) was detected immediately at the 0,0,0,0 phase trial ... and improved as the decoding process continued. Carrier S/N peaked 13.36 dB in 35.2 uHz. I'll check other files, including daytime files, later tonight.

Thanks very much for the Dreamers Band carrier! Looking forward to an actual message.

Paul,

Thanks for the report! You made my day. I'll leave it
on for another 24 hours, at least.

A terrific signal at Forest, VA, 3070km. Day and night. A sharp
line exactly on frequency. Will post some plots later or tomorrow.

So far, no detection at Todmorden... hopefully the carrier continues.
