Hi Riccardo,

no need to be sorry at all ;-) Sometimes our grabbers are starving, and any unidentified trace makes us extremely curious. There are currently only a few (six ?) active transmit stations. BTW what are all the other Dreamers doing now, like Chris, Roger, Lubos, Henny, Victor, Ossi, Gerhard, Walter, Roland, Paul C?

Regarding SpecLab transmit: The phase stabilisation scheme will only work with 1pps and "GPS phase lock" ticked. With a 10 kHz or other pilot tone, the frequency can still be locked as long as there are no interruptions. But as soon as a glitch or a restart happens, the software has no way of reaquiring precise time and absolute phase because it doesn't know how many 10 kHz cycles have been lost. This usually leaves you with a permanent phase jump.

One explanation for an undesired continuous phase rotation could be that you happen to own one of those soundcards which have slightly different input and output samplerates, leading to periodic buffer overflows or underruns. With 1pps sync, you can more or less fix it by calibrating both rates separately and ticking the output resample box in Audio Settings.

All the best,
Markus (DF6NM)

Hi Markus, Uwe, VLF.

Yes, it was me (no escape with Paul's RDF :-) )...I'm very sorry for this misunderstanding.
Markus, I'm testing (but now in local) your SL's TX configuration (#18.ini).
Now, I have got some problems with digimode modulator to generate a correct BPSK signal using the file created by EbNaut sender.
Around 8270 Hz, the carrier phase is in continuous rotation but a few Hz away is locked and OK. For your info, I'm using the 10kHz GPSDO signal (ch. R) instead 1PPS pulse.
Please, have you any suggestions?
Thanks so much.

All the best

Thanks Uwe for info. I'm sorry to read about Mother Nature's mischief, hope that you can repair it soon.

But then, whodunit? The carrier was clearly visible approximately from Jan 18, 21:30 to Jan 19, 16:15 UT, southeast rather than east of Todmorden. Riccardo?

Or perhaps a magical long delayed echo from one of my earlier transmissions on that QRG?

There's a good carrier on 8270.0025 Hz but not from me - Uwe? It's well visible in Todmorden (east) and Amberg (north/south), and perhaps marginally in Nuremberg.

Good luck!

hi Paul. its me testing the new ant coils. Im controling the radiation since hours, but no "ragged" parts found.

Does anyone claim ownership of this slightly ragged signal
today on 8270?
