Please do not disassemble your transmitter! There are plenty of nice things to try out on LF, Transatlantic tests being only one of them.
 
Two hour long messages may be pushing coherence a bit. Based on previous experience with VO1NA's EbNaut and with Opera and WSPR, your current half-hour format should allow you to reach several potential overseas listeners.
 
Note that piggybacking on opds32 FFT-recordings will be limited to about 35 minute chunks. Longer sequences will require a different SpecLab setup with longer FFTs or IQ-recordings (and perhaps a narrower decimated band around a different QRG).
