Hi Luis,
Good :-)
I see you are following the same ideas then me: Contacting newcomers to
rise activity :-)
If he lives in a rural area, then his signals should be at least 10 dB
better then currently. So i would say he needs a larger antenna or a
preamp or a different antenna, like the PA0RDT.
And/or, the tuner rather works like a short cut instead of improving
things. So another idea would be to build his own matching circuit for
MF. It's the same principle like for your transmit antenna but of
course the coil can be wound on a ferrite rod, as well as the
transformer (on the same rod).
Maybe you like to pass him that? :-)

This is my first time receiving WSPR MF, in fact I was sceptical
considering my conditions, it really works!
My setup is a very basic one:
SW: WSPR-X in a debian jessie.
Radio: TS-590S and I'm using the internal USB sound card of the radio.
Antenna: Ground plane vertical with some radials 4 meters hight from
ground , mounted on a balcony with a SGC-230 at feed point in bypass
for receiving. The support mast is a spiderbeam 12M mast.
I am lucky and live on a rural area with low RF noise.

Hope he can be motivated to become Tx

Will this be the beginning of a new receive-carrer, this time for a CT
stn?
Last night he got EA5DOM i saw. Maybe he will now start to improve
his/her setup? Let's see...
More encouraging signals could be helpful...
