RR. Sounds familiar ..
Our professor (in 'Grundlagen der Elektrotechnik') tortured us with
the stuff because (in 'Mathematik 1') complex numbers were
introduced too late. Having started with complex arithmetic, and
using complex resistances (or admittances when the frequencies got
'really high') would have saved some headaches, and a lot of
paper with funny triangles sticking to each other, and arrows in
different colours pointing into weird directions :o)
