I'll try to go down to 17dBm power to antenna tonight

How odd , may be just at the change over time , but another in from EI8JK and now SV8CS-5 , with -35 dB , the path to EI looks reliable !
skips very sharp these nights , 100 miles and you have dropped out ..

Not exactly Graham
The decode on my monitor is at 19:22 not at 19:20
Copy from server spots received at that time

Yes, two spots from EI8JK. And also in WSPR a good one from DH5RAE at 1576Km

Well. Looks hard to believe but from my WSPR decodes I changed the power value to 0.05w
in the WSPR frame when Txing 20dBm. And the first frame transmitted was

Then from 19:14 to 19:22 the Opera8 frame at 20dBm took place. That matchs with my own decode
19:22 477 EA5DOM de EA5DOM Op8 7 km -1 dB F:1%_End in Albir 1519,0 Hz
So R6LDD decoded Deep Search 2 minutes earlier than expected or may be he has not a synchronized PC clock
May be even he could not get the full frame. No fade info in the spot. But he spotted before my own spot !!
19:21 477 EA5DOM de R6LDD Op8 Deep Search ?? 3185 km -37 dB in NOVOROSSIYSK 1522,2 Hz
Unfortunately R6LDD went QRT and is actually not QRV. Very interesting spot and would worth to
get more than one :-)

That was the last QRO transmission with 5W Graham
Txing at 20dBm since 19:22 utc
Reports on my monitor from -1 to 0dB
So far not monitors in Opera at less than 1000Km

Hi Graham, MF
Good idea. Let's see where is the imit
I have just connected the U3 directly to antenna. Have not measured power yet but may be under 500mW
I'm not using the 3xBS170 but a mosfet driver instead, ICL7667 if I can recall correctly
Spots in WSPR dropped to just the EA monitors

Hi Luis
Nice going for 5 watts, but -8 dB with 75 % of the signal recovered , your nearly +30 over the limit .. can you drop the power down by 20 dB ? say 50 mW ??

Hi MF
Back home !
Antenna is up again and I' transmitting with only 5W from a small PA
I will take the opportunity to install the 100W PA in the terrace, as originally planned
Txing WSPR and Opera8 every 12 minutes
