Thread-topic: LF: EA5DOM back to MF, but QRP at the moment
Done

2,33V RMS over 50 ohm load. Should be 0,108w. 20dBm aprox ??

The antenna at Opera QRG is working on the bottom side of the Smith chart at 36 -39j
I can measure 2,60V RMS with the antenna connected

Let's see which are the spots during the night with this conditions, say 20dBm applied to antenna, not ERP

Not bad in Opera Deep Search so far
Real decode, as proved with my own monitor decode one minute earlier

19:47    477 EA5DOM de EI8JK Op8 Deep Search 1632 km -36 dB in Bantry, South West Ireland 1520.5 Hz
19:46    477 EA5DOM de EA5DOM Op8 0 km -1 dB F:1%_End in Albir 1519,0 Hz

And much shorter in WSPR, as exected

I'm going to measure the output power of U3. Just curious ! ;-)

Hi Graham, MF

Good idea. Let's see where is the imit

I have just connected the U3 directly to antenna. Have not measured power yet but may be under 500mW
I'm not using the 3xBS170 but a mosfet driver instead, ICL7667 if I can recall correctly

Spots in WSPR dropped to just the EA monitors

Hi Luis

Nice going  for  5  watts,  but  -8 dB  with  75 % of the  signal  recovered ,  your  nearly  +30 over the  limit .. can you drop the  power down by  20 dB ?  say 50 mW ??

Hi MF

Back home !

Antenna is up again and I' transmitting with only 5W from a small PA

I will take the opportunity to install the 100W PA in the terrace, as originally planned

Txing WSPR and Opera8 every 12 minutes
