This might make some sense. A slant loop could be seen as a superposition of a big horizontal loop (which doesn't radiate), plus a low vertical loop (which weakly radiates in a figure-eight pattern, with lobes to east and west). But perhaps one shouldn't try to draw too many quantitative conclusions from successful vs unsuccessful WSPR receptions as other parameters (eg local RX noise) may play a large role.
