Jim,I was testing yesterday afternoon and evening on several frequencies between 8300 to 8977 Hz but at no time on 8820 Hz. The only variometer I presently have is for 137 KHz and it doesn't have enough range for adjustment on VLF. Therefor I just settle for whatever frequency the various smaller coils added to the large coil tunes the antenna. The same arrangement that tuned 8820 no longer tunes there since the oak trees are now almost bare. I plan to test again today likely between 8300 to 8990 Hz.
