Hi Roelof,Many thanks for the info. As soon as wx permits, I will take a Perseus to my RX site and see if the signal is still there. At the moment, I have the IC 706 running with preamp turned on, which isn't always a good idea (IM-wise) ... but it helps during daylight conditions. Have a nice weekend, Wolf . A nice example is UK based NDB CWL on 423 kHz.Instead of two sidebands +/- 400 Hz it transmits a sideband at + 400 and + 800 Hz.BIA is by far not a worst case example.Some Russian and Ukrain NDB's have multiple sidebands and at close range can cover up to +/- 5 kHz from the carrier.The cause is poor modulation or a faulty transmitter as in the case of CWL.73, Roelof Bakker, pa0rdt |
