I don't know 3.26 AM, I remember doing things like that in my younger days. My Mother got out bed and asked me was I going to come to bed ever when I was building the Mullard all Valve Tape Recorder Amplifier. I am loving the Probe discussion, how can results from Australia be useful when we can see on the Globe that there Earth is ABOVE the Antenna.

Seriously was not the CANT WORK argument regarding a Monopole which would have no reference, we know that dipoles work. Remove one leg of the dipole and provide a ground area similar to the surface area of the whip then try that vertical and horizontal so proving 2 theories.

I think it will work and in both polarisations too.
