It doesn't matter for this application. Important is only the resulting FFT bin width, which is displayed on the 'FFT Settings' panel. Longer FFT and less decimation has the advantage of covering a larger bandwidth (to pan around), but since we know Uwe's frequency quite accurately that's not so important. On PCs with less than a gagabyte of RAM, or if many other programs need to run simultaneously, keep the FFT size below 512k .
