I have a better  idea

If the  gang  down under, now the  undisputed  wspr  DX's     migrate to the 
top  of the  band , then others will  surely  follow
Then  changing  mode  and running  data  can be  done  without  retuning 
the  Ae  and  leaves the  middle  of the  band  clearer for  other  more 
abstract  past times  like   slow ssb  or  other  such things
