Must be rubber rock's then if there
some how drifted in to the middle of the new band
!
E-Bay is full of £3 DDS-VFO c/w
master oscillator , much cheaper than crystals ,
I'm afraid , we have a out break of ,
as the professional fixed beacon people refer, 'vanity
beacons' or the classic two wrongs making a
right , I'ts ok as some one else is there so
I will as well , or to coin a phrase ' I'm all right
jack'

I think Wolf is right, a nice wide part in the centre and beacons on
the high side, but we must remember that some are rockbound at the moment so
make due allowance. HNY everybody and hope for some more DX
QSOs.

The more one looks

, I like the idea of a wide band
mixed modes area 474 usb ,
As without any
formalities we can see the more
primitive modes are congregating in the
centre of the band , assumedly necessary prevent out of
band transmissions due to vfo drift or the like
? Objection ;o) Let those 'primitive' but
predominant modes like CW remain at the start of the band. So they will
suffer from the digital / beacon / etc QRM only from one side. Also keep
beacon-like transmission as far away from the QSO / CW segment as possible. You
will know what I mean when the first 24/7 / 365 day beacon appears ( I
really hope this day never comes). Just my two Euro-cents of wisdom
though ... Wolf .
