Well , ..Just noticed this  ,

ALL de DK7FC (Fed. Rep. of Germany): Beacon Op32 every 00:00 in Heidelberg JN49IK

so  we could be in for a  night  of  'long decodes' !

20  Decodes OP8  , that's  a  good  result  ! , still  trying  to  solve the  s/n  recovery  from psk-map  , have a  test  version  of  Op  that  is  sending  a  fixed  -20db  to the  site, but  as yet, not able to  recover the  data ..

Polar .. still   open  ( 6 watts to  40  ft  end fed  vert)

20:34 14065 GO0NBD de KL1X Op2 4271 mi -23 dB in Wasilla Palmer Alaska with 10w + 1

Not seeing  anything  the  other way . but  plasma Tv on close  by

ALL de KL1X (Alaska): Beacon Op2 every 10:15 in Wasilla Palmer Alaska 5w + vert

I havent listened over the Pole for a couple of days as we have being seeing nice Vivid Green wavy Auroras just North of here and not seeing a lot of Eu over the Pole on HF which is a bit of a give away. But Loran was clacking away at s9 from the West this morning - it dissapeared completely over mid summer.

Still, G is coming over the Pole on 14 today so Ill open up two instances on 136 tonight at OP8 and 32. Note that any opening to Eu would be fleeting at around 0400 GMT -
John BDQ must have hit me around 20 times last night at OP8 so the nights are drawing in and condx are slowing improving until the next "whats poured out of a hole" arrives...

Mal - you are going to have to go down to Intrinsically safe levels, of say<2W of you may end up a little chard...  Id be more worried about the DC3 falling out of the sky. Weve lost of few of these this year from our local airport http://www.airplane-pictures.net/airport.php?p=1227
