Hello Mike, LF,

I just copied your OP8 beacon at -31 dB S/N, my first LF Opera decode ;-)

BUT!: You have been visible on my grabber in QRSS-3 about M copy with some QSB. Hmmmm...!??!! ;-)
Also congrats for the decode at TF3HZ, i just saw it in the same round.

Now attempting to reach the US. Not very realistic but Jay can do miracles!

Ok Stefan

Well , OP8 is only the entry mode for 136 :) with every X2 of the time , add another -3 dB , at the moment , OP8 and OP32 seem to give good results , hopefully other speeds can be tested , OP32 lowers the s/n by -6 dB
We have tested OP16 and OP64 in the past , 64 gives another -3
dB , but qsb on longer paths , may reduce the % of signal over
the decode level .. But the longer on/off times also means
that it shows on S/L , but there may be some problems with sound
card using OP and S/L on the same P/C .. its possible that Op is
not able to decode at the extreme limits , José's DSP engine is
pushing the limits ..
Decodes , well at the moment I have the Ae set for 500K , so
not ideal for 136 , but I have two decodes , via the 500 tuner :)
22:24 136 DK7FC Op8 -32 dB
21:51 136 DK7FC Op8 -33 dB

This is outstanding ! at 20 dB in Reykjavik ~~ 13 dB above the minimum decode level , you could reduce power by a factor of X 20 !
22:24 136 DK7FC de TF3HZ Op8 1515 mi -20 dB in Reykjavik

Well , as I have posted in the past the Op system has made operating on MF/LF quite simple , PSK-Map showing 24 monitors at the moment , lets hope East coast USA joins later in the night
GL -73-G..

Hi Graham, Op fans,

That seems to work very well, i haven't expected that. No, the power is about the same as in all my transmissions.
What do you think why you're getting no decode?

There are even stations listening that i never heared of, on LF, like DL2OBT. Maybe we can get some newcomers by that or move some attention on that band??
VK1SV has now updated his grabber and shows the DCF-39 plot. The S/N
is however just 10 dB, at least today. So there is no chance to leave
a trace in VK.
Thus i let the beacon run until tomorrow. Who knows what will be
achieved at night...
