LF,
Once again i'm transmitting DFCW-90 on 136.172 kHz over the night. The
TX is already on air...
In a few days the sunshine time is as long as possible here, so it may
be a bit difficult to become visible in TA. But who knows...
At least the summer time allows excellent results on LF for distances
below 3000 km. Probably because the area in darkness is small on the
northern hemisphere and so the noise from far away is attenuated. So the
distances within the first hop range may be a bit lower than in winther
but maybe the noise is even lower so S/N improvement of some dB results.
At least i've never been audible in winther at YO/4X1RF. We've done many
tests and the radiated signal was even 3 dB stronger than a few days ago
where the signal became audible. Now i'm thinking different about the
possibilities of that band in the summer time!!
