Hello Stefan, you know I was using an easyloop (with the LT1028A inside) when I managed (first time for me) to capture your 8970 Hz signal from my balcony. Very simple and reliable in my experience. I slightly modified a pair of R and C values to extend the frequency limit up to about 50 kHz.
