I think 40 turns are even better than 80. For 8970 Hz, your loop will
work fine! No problem! As long as you are far away from the man made
noise. Just take a walk and try :-)
I think 80 turns may only be an advantage if one is interested in
frequencies below 2 kHz or so. A year ago i planned some tests on 1670
Hz. This was why i built the loop. Maybe i can proceed with the
experiment soon again.
