Hi Mauro,

I think 40 turns are even better than 80. For 8970 Hz, your loop will work fine! No problem! As long as you are far away from the man made noise. Just take a walk and try :-) I think 80 turns may only be an advantage if one is interested in frequencies below 2 kHz or so. A year ago i planned some tests on 1670 Hz. This was why i built the loop. Maybe i can proceed with the experiment soon again.

VLF,

I just built the preamp of Renato Romero's design for a VLF loop preamp, http://www.vlf.it/easyloop/_easyloop.htm The circuit is very easy and compact and looks very promising, http://dl.dropbox.com/u/19882028/VLF/Easyloop.jpg. I took the LT1028 instead of the OP27 though. I'm looking forward to do a new /p VLF test with my hoola hop loop in the forest soon.
Is there someone on air during the next days?
