Tnx Wolf,
Yes the first call X band we had
was round 20:00 z , quite a surprise as
it was from DL . closer in, and the
signals where quite low, may be supports my
idea , the radiation angle is quite high , ok
for sky wave , not much good for close
in,, but all went ok, Nera Tx kept
running and the internal thunderstorm in the
Marconi Marine Apollo 1970's Rx slowly
died off after it had been running all day
Switching the main feeds to the radar , reduced
the noise on 500 to zero ...wonderful ,only wide
band noise , no switch mode jingles

Marconi day
Hi Graham,
Also thanks to you and the crew for the
activity. Propagation on 500 kHz must have been comparably well; stations heard
from EI, GI, G, IQ, DI, and PA (all Q5 in CW here, no 'puter running). Thanks
Geri / DI2BO for DF0WD's first HF/MF xband QSO before total darkness
;-)
Cheers, Wolf .

Thanks to All who called on 500
and 3533 , quite a number of stations
from Europe , and IQ2MI , who we had
one 355/500 and one 500 / 500 qso
with , last qso on 500 before station closed
Good signal's from Chris G3XIZ
500/500 and Albert PA0A 500/500
Propagation on 80 seemed to favour EU , very few
ssb contacts on 80 where made inside the Uk
that evening , with rapid qsb and drop out.
