By doing so i guess i will not be 'forced' to download almost endless number of updates as it was in the case of ROS software ..i fully agree - it is really odd logic both to send unattended net messages and keeping the details of de/modulation technique as such a big secret.As you already have said , the 'bottom-line' of SNR etc... is known from quite some time.... :-)
