Hi John LOPTs and scan assemblies can provide useful chunks of LF usable
ferrite. You can sometimes find some quite nice high voltage caps around it
to which can be useful.

Analogue television has disappeared from this area, so I have two CRT-based
receivers which are no longer needed (and they never did work too well).
Would it be worth trying to salvage the line output transformers before I
take the equipment to the tip?
