Indeed an air core multiturn loop proves its sensitivity, at least on paper.
Plus, the
directional nulling possibilities do really interest me.
But X-Banding with Mal's or Stefan's LF signals can surely be done via a simple
miniwhip. But s!:;!: happens, sometimes.
RXing definetely suffers from something nasty here, as I did not even hear a
friend of
mine's MF tests last night, although an hour and a half before IQ2MI was
clearly
audible.
The whip's preamp must have not appreciated something in between the two
reception
attempts. Or maybe is it the SDR. By the way, I will try to hear something with
the
FT897 and LF/MF converter tonight. If OK, the SDR must be the failing link.
