Thank you Dave, that's interesting! Also the 73 kHz stuff would be a
very nice field to play on now.
A pity that i haven't been QRV to that time and participate at least as
an receiving station.
I got my first "class 3" licence (10W EIRP on 2m and 70 cm) in 1999 but
heard the first time about LF in 2003...

I have kept all the posts in the LF reflector since I joined (but I'm
not offering to sort through them!). The first I have is from February
1999, it's from the silent-key G0AKN who did a huge amount of
experimenting on LF with "earth bases" as you have done.
Here it is for old times sake...
"Advance notice - QRS tests from the earth base on 73 and 136 scheduled
for
Sunday March 14th. I shall be using a 920m base and operating from the
house, not /P. I am hoping to set a new record for 73 kHz before the
allocation goes so please listen out. Exact times and frequencies will
be
announced very shortly. Make a note in your diary now.

Alan,
LF,
I just asked myselfe when the LF reflector was founded. Do you know
what was the first month of this refelctor? Who of the first members is
still "QRV" here? So when is the jubilee?
While working on the PA (which is ready in some minutes) i though about
funny and legendary mails coming over here during these just 2 years i
am here. We should make a topic about the best (i.e. funny or
legendary) mails ever, which is an individual decision of course ;-)
