Hello Halldor,Very interesting! Haven't known that there are lightnings in the ash clouds. The lower picture on your grabber gives a very good overview! Good to have so many grabbers running at different places over the world! What is the distance between the grabber and the volcano? 73, Stefan/DK7FC Am 21.05.2011 21:54, schrieb Halldór: Hi all, Looks like that the new eruption in Iceland is showing up on my VLF-grabber. Static activity started as soon as the eruption got through the ice around 19:15 and ash began to fall. Lightnings are always in the ash cloud. Activity is building up. More ash means more lightnings. It will be interesting to follow this activity next days. 73 Halldor |
