I completely understand and respect your statement.
A few month ago, QRSS60 or anything slower was out of my imagination but
meanwhile I'm happy if a sign of my signal is seen at much lower speeds.
No doubt, those extremely slows modes are not useful for a QSO, they
just give us an idea about propagation and other relevant issues.
I would like to compare it with the following:
I have a daughter, 13 years old and she is sometimes watching me with my
radio-stuff.....I once tried to QSO on LF in CW with some guys here in
Austria....not more than 300km away and when I finished, she asked me
what the hell this all was about. I said that I made a contact with
others by radio but she just said: "Hey dad, ever heard about
cell-phones???"
I had a hard time to explain!
