this works fine for posijn isolation,fot povin isolation you need to scrape.

Enamel removing ist much easier done:
Built a solder bubble with the irion and pierce through slowly the bubble
with the wire. The hot solder will melt the enamel
The fume generated is toxic !
Same procedure also valuable for stranded wire (Litze).
