After having got G6PKS on this reflector he only lasted just over a day
before coming off again. He gave his reason as he had expected a useful site
for technical discussion and information, instead he got what he described
as a deluge of childish nonsense - a prime example of which is below - I
have to say I agree with him. Yesterday was one of the worst. I had hoped
this wouldn't happen again in the new year. Why can't other peoples views
just be accepted and left at that? It's about time there was some strong
moderation of this reflector, I know other amateurs who have left for
similar reasons. Is this really the attitude we wish to convey, especially
to new comers? Please stop the sniping.

After careful study of Mal's comments of late it is clear he fancy's a
unit being named after him. How could the world's greatest CW operator
not be so recognized?
Fortunately for Mal a team of esteemed researchers have identified an as
yet unnamed phenomenon. This phenomenon is informally known as
reflector foot in mouth syndrome. In honour of the chief proponent of
this phenomenon, it has been put forward by researchers that the unit of
measurement be known as the 'Malcontent' and a new index be created to
measure the level of 'Malcontentness.'
A 'Malcontent' is defined as the number of factually incorrect and
egotistical emails sent to the reflector in a given day.
The 'Malcontentness' index would provide a warning to all about the
level of nonsense the reflector may be influencing at any particular
moment. Much like the Dst index there is a recovery period after the
reflector experiences a shock of 'Malcontentness'. Further study of
past data will be required to quantify the recovery times after various
levels of 'Malcontentness' have been experienced. It is hoped a scale
like that used to forecast the intensity of geomagnetic storms will soon
come into service to allow users of the reflector to protect their
sanity in times of enhanced 'Malcontentness.'

HERTZ
look like.
Hertz is a meaningless label in fact its someones Name and is technically
inapproapriat when describing Frequency.
Rumour has it that one EU member state wants a RESISTOR renamed BANSHEE
