Thanks again Jim a very good point and some thing I need to keep in mind. Your mail has spurred me on to try and get a better trace using a narrow band width on my current PC.
 
Conditions were very good last night despite the QRN.

Bear in mind that, with FFT parameters set for 1.5mHz resolution, about 10 minutes will elapse between you hitting the button, and enough samples being acquired to do the first FFT and generate a display...
