Off-topic I know but for those interested
In an obituary in today's Times here in UK. comes news of the death of
Professor Sir Maurice Wilkes. Worth noting is that he became interested
in amateur radio while still at school (like many of us) and went on to
obtain his licence in his teens! Before computers his interest was radio
propogation studies at the Cavendish Physics Lab. at Cambridge. No doubt
Alan g3nyk or some one else will be able to elaborate. RIP.
