All,

here too. I installed YAND and let it running overnight (starting 22UTC).
Besides a whole bunch of European NAVTEX stations (including Greenland, Iceland
and Russia), mediteranian (Turkey, Israel, Egypt and Algeria) I also copied VCO
(Sydney, Canada), NMN (Chesapeake, USA) and NMG (New Orleans, USA). The last
one is the ODX at 7789km.
Also a lot of UNID, I'll have a look tonight wether the received text reveals
the origin.

My main problem in receiving 518kHz NAVTEX is the Romanian NDB "ARD" on 517kHz
with a 1kHz tone modulation. Thus the upper sideband on 518kHz, just inbetween
the mark and space of NAVTEX.
I notched it out, but that seems also to affect (desense) the NAVTEX decoding.

Louis,

I use YaND (Yet another Navtex Decoder) by Dirk Claessens, as mentioned
by Jan PA3ABK in another message here..

It is very good, and has extra features for automatically identifying
the station being received, collating reception reports etc etc.

It is available here:
http://users.telenet.be/NAVTEX/YAND/

as well as from the files section of the Yahoo group "Navtexdx"

I would recommend trying it!
