Yes... strange indeed. The signal seems to be symmetrically around a center of ( 8907 Hz +9085.5 Hz )  / 2 = 8996.25 Hz, like "sidebands" (see screenshots below), but there is nothing at all at that 'center' frequency. Maybe too much digital stuff here at the club station.

now this is interesting! I have scrolled down my 0.36 Hz window, but the artifact has not appeared here. Must be one of your neighbours tuning up on VLF ;-)
