500 Kcs similar to 1800 Kcs (top band) played
out
137 Kcs has been going for some years and is also
played out
9 Kcs and below opens new frontiers for radio
amateurs with some effort required to radiate a signal that can be heard/seen by
others several hundred Kilometres away and beyond.
A Dreamers delight, when you get the antenna
resonant with a suitable inductor it begins to Sing.
For test purposes and assume the antenna is an inv
L it can be resonated with a LOPT. Adjust the inductance of
transformer in series with antenna until resonance is achieved at the desired
frequency. A signal generator and 'scope is probably the most convenient way to
monitor progress during the resonating procedure.
