I replaced a 3C85 matching transformer with a LOPT on my 137 kcs TX with identical results. The LOPT from the junk box cost nothing. Some are marked 3C8, others have no marking so I assume all are similar material and work well up to 500 kcs

Thanks to all who have offered suggestions, will follow these up ASAP. You would think it would be a simple matter to get some 3C85/3C90 torroids, but apparently not so! Identification of the correct ones is not so easy either!!
