Helo Jim, Group, It is a pleasure to hear from you again, Jim, as well to learn that you were able to hear VX9MRC. Thank-you kindly for the report. The TX is a homebrewed class E with 40 V B+, and is beacon mode for now, running continuously 100 watts at 1.6 RF amps to a 100 metre wire at 10m height. 73 to all Joe VO1NA On Mon, 11 Jan 2010, James Moritz wrote: Dear LF Group,Well, Gus' SSB beacon is getting up to about S5 here at times, but I can also hear (at 2238utc) VX9MRC on about 507.77kHz peaking up to about RST549, with the usual deep QSB. I think this is the first time I have heard a readable transatlantic CW signal on 500k.Cheers, Jim Moritz 73 de M0BMU |
