A9 - BAHRAIN
On December 10th Bahrain's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA)
announced a new National Frequency Plan (NFP) on their web-site
(www.tra.org.bh).
A9 Amateur Radio operators can now operate on 50.0 - 50.5 MHz on a "primary and
exclusive" basis and from 50.05 - 52 MHz on a secondary basis. They also
received
additional frequencies on "136 KHz, 1.8 MHz, 7 MHz, 430 MHz and higher bands"
reports EI3IO. Amateur Radio operators from Bahrain can not operate on these
newly
allocated frequencies until their licenses are amended. The TRA is also looking
for
comments on the 69.95 to 70.5 MHz band as well as 500 KHz and 5 MHz.
