Hi Laurie.
I recall that when I first powered up my Decca, it had low output on one module. That turned out to be a blown diode in the power recovery unit. - It's been so long I've forgotten the full detail.

I have a spare Power Amp Module 5501 but it is also faulty. However, the fault is clear - it just has blown power FETs. You can have it for free - you should be able to make a good one from the two faulty ones I thought I had some spare power FETs but I can't find them at the moment Regards Peter, G3LDO > > Does anyone have a Racal Power Amp Module 5501 surplus to requirments > that I could buy? > One of the modules in my Decca TX has developed a fault, power down to > about a third, > so far can't find the fault. > 73 Laurie G3AQC |
