Hi all.
Can anyone on the East Coast USA comment of the state of 501 -504kHz for transatlantic reception?
I have confirmed availability of a large field in East Sussex for this Sunday night for some portable operation.
If I have to select a frequency, then I may as well choose a clear one possibly in the mid - upper portion of the band say 503.1
One potential problem for cross band into Europe using Mals well established 7033kHz is the CQWW WPX contest. - So may have to go to 10MHz for that, or we do have 400W + 16 ele on 2m at 600 ft ASL which should be fine for ON / F / PA western DL.
Locator will be JO00EW near Dallington East Sussex. Power 0 - 250 Watts, antenna dependent. - Aim +10dBW peak ERP Main purpose of this trip is the antenna experiment, but it would be nice to make some CW / QRSS3 QSOs too. Site location can be seen here. http://www.vhfdx.net/callbook/gmap.php?Lan=E&Call=G1KAW/P&Loc=JO00EW phone / text 07958502540. e-mail [email protected]. Internet available on site. Thanks David |
