For interest, nearly every diode that I have tested varies one from another even a matched batch. I suppose normally constructers just grab the required number for a project and start soldering. Perhaps its not that important as long as they are conducting in one direction and offer some resistance in the reverse direction.

I have found some rectifiers MBR 6045 and although these would do the job, I notice the FORWARD/REVERSE resistance is a lot lower than normal silicon high curent rectifiers.
