Well that's nearly right, without phase continuity you could be accused of
generating 'gray' noise due to the break in phase caused by the digital
drive system of these new fangled 'Kenwood chef blender' PA's where
everything comes out nice and smooth at the same amplitude .. so technically
Gary is not wrong ?

if I got it right WSPR is a 4-FSK mode and does not require linear
amplification.
