Your right on the pass band , but for simplicity if you aim for 1500 should
help !
Jay W1VD had a decode at -29 db .. so that's a first !
I'm baby sitting the thing at the moment at a touch over 150 watts , in not
sure what's tripping the vswr ... may be glitches on the supply rails as its
holding fine a the moment

The audio passband for WSPR is 1400 to 1600 Hz. Presumably, any legit
signal in that range can be decoded.
Nothing seen here as of 0024 UTC. A US station (!) was very close to
that frequency for a while, but has given up his playing.
