505.1 khz is vy close to the EU beacons that are s9 plus at nite time. I
think higher up would be better.
I monitored 505.4 for a while with a vy narrow bw but at the time saw
nothing. I did not stay up all nite.
Previously when I copied TR sigs on 500 they were up at 507 as far as I can
remember.

I'd have to say yes it was Jay. He was on pretty late but I don't know
for sure how late.

Gary,
By frequency, that would be Jay, WE2XGR/3 (W1VD), who has been
sending regular speed CW nightly on 506.500 kHz. He looks for replies
in the first quarter of the hour.

Hi Mike, LF,
I have attached part of a saved grab taken at 0405utc showing the
best shot
of a beacon type signal. The signal first appeared very weakly at
0033utc &
faded out at 0417utc showing periodically between these times with QSB.
Was there a signal transmitted on this frequency? As it does look
very much
like a beacon. I have no frequency list for US beacons in that
frequency
band.
The continuous line seen on the grab is I think from a neighbours TV.
Cheers,
Gary - G4WGT.
