Thanks for that John. BTW I looked at your web site some months ago and was
inspired by the improvement your 'top hat' made. In fact that's the very
improvement I'm planning here, but need to lower the mast first. Will stay
in touch via this reflector.

Hello chaps, LF,
Although my planned linear tranmitter is still on the perpetual drawing
board, I can certainly provide remote decoding facilities, over a nice
long path, the longest you'll get in the UK. In fact I'm probably further
away than most of F/DL/PA is, from you point of view, at 700-1000km I'd
guestimate.
I'll keep an eye out for when you start your PSK31 tests.
Of course you can also keep a lookout for your signals at:

Hi Brian & James.
Many thanks for getting back about this. It seems we all need a little
time to become fully QRV, so if we leave it for a week or two I should
have complete my 500 kHz antenna improvements by then. I note you are at
Watford and Hatfield respectively, a good distance for reliable tests.

Hi Malcom -
I've got the necessary kit for PSK31 on 500 kHz (25 watts pep
linear) and hope to have it back in working order next month. QTH
is Watford.

Hello folks - just rejoined the LF reflector.
Is there anybody out there using PSK31 on 500 kHz and if so,
what is your usual frequency/time of operating? I should be QRV
using this mode within the next couple of days.
My QTH is in West Sussex and I've already had day time CW QSOs
up 100 km in spite of a very poor antenna system, but plans are
in hand to improve efficiency.
