Don't knock it - whatever might be thought of Mal's opinion of 'real amateurs'  vs  'appliance operators' (and Mal is on record as having equipment of far eastern origin..) there is nothing wrong with his transmitted signal or his operating practice. The signal is clean and stable and the cw sounds ok to what is left of my hearing even though I have to use an 'appliance' to decode most of it!
