Ok Alan,
This is a quartzlock, model 2A . I get a good signal on 198, im using it at
the moment , be intresting to se if anyone detects any change in frequency,
but of course the signal is derived from the 800 hz tone from the sound
card, so that may drift as well , been running 6 hours so should be warmed
up
Using the 'triggering scope' method of comparing frequency's i can observe
a change about a fixed point , so ive set for the mid point , which looks to
be correct , todate im not totally sure what level of 'change' im observing
.. hihi

Hi Graham, yes ok, I have a Halcyon and that unlocks sometimes after dark.
It may be due to noise and the use of the internal ferrite rod. There are
quite big phase shifts after dark sometimes, and there is (was last time I
measured it) a slight sytematic wobble, but it is only a few parts in
10^10
and has a period of around 1000secs. I dont think I would use mine for a
direct standard without a better aerial. Short term standard is an Austron
1250a....very nice.
Alan
