Dear Group, On Monday, a 10 watt transmitter was activated from St Pierre using a 20 metre wire out the window of the Hotel Robert. The signals on 136.369 kHz were copied near the post office about 1/4 km away. CW signals from the VO1NA beacon on 189.81 kHz were copied on a hilltop in St Pierre, spanning about 280 km. A BOG aerial was used. Jean Pierre FP5CJ was in Miquelon on vacation at the time. Hopefully he will be interested in future LF work. 73 Joe |
