Mike G3IJE Yes an old double triode in cathode follower configuration( the two triodes in parallel Ia+ 18 mA) to convert the high impedance of the wire antenna to 75 ohms and to isolate the receiving equipment. A horn arestor at the input of the amplifier regularly sparks during thunderstorms but I continue to be QRV something I can't do with modern fets (J310, CP666).... 73's Alex |
