Hi Peter, i think (by anecdote) the TVs radiate the signal from their aerial
braid and can be reduced if not cured by a braid breaker in their aerial
lead close to the set. (Gen for that from a "near" neighbour to you G3XDV.

I have heard one comments that said that if they applied for a licence now
for that mode it would be refused !!
It may be what the Yanks call the wall-wart on the DVD that is causing the
trouble in which case substitue in linear supply with the same capacity. I
am fairly clear now on 500k most of what I found when my aerial was on the
floor was self generated (PCs) now the wire is elevated a little 6m the
noise situation is much better. I have been using Alberto's WinRad on a
multiturn loop straight into the sound card to look from "zero" to 48kHz
(96k sampling card) for SMPSU fundamentals. I do get some spill 50Hz
sidebands from the 16th harmonic of the line timebase at 500.000 kHz but its
not too bad now.

Good luck with the "negotiatiions"
Cheers de Alan G3NYK
